Weiqi (Go) Set
Weiqi (Go) Set is a wooden set from LPG (Let's Play Games) for Go, also known as Weiqi, the classic two-player strategy board game. Take turns placing stones to wall off territory, surrounding and capturing your opponent's stones as you go, and whoever controls the most territory wins. Go was invented in China more than 2,500 years ago and is thought to be the oldest board game still played today.

About the game
Over 2,500 years old, and Gobgob still hasn't found a shortcut.
Gobgob's favourite bit: Capturing. Surround a group of your opponent's stones completely and the whole lot comes off the board. Gobgob tries very hard not to cackle.

Borrowing by post
Members anywhere in New Zealand can borrow by post. Postal swaps go out every Thursday. The cutoff is Wednesday 10pm for Thursday delivery.
Postage out is charged at our normal website shipping rates, and you pay to post games back to us.
Missing pieces and damage
Check the box when you borrow it. If a piece is missing, tell us at the counter so it isn't charged to you.
Pieces that go missing or get damaged while a game is with you can be charged up to the game's RRP, unless our staff waive it. Normal wear and tear is fine. The full details are in the library terms.
