We operate a physical retail store and an online store powered by Shopify (the “Services”).

By accessing or using our Services, including purchasing products or memberships, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”).

If you do not agree, you must not use our Services.

2. ELIGIBILITY & ACCOUNTS

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in New Zealand, to make purchases or hold a membership.

You agree to provide accurate, complete and current information for all purchases and account registrations.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activity under your account.

3. PRODUCTS & SERVICES

We sell board games, accessories, event bookings and board game rental memberships.

We make reasonable efforts to ensure product descriptions and pricing are accurate. However:

Product images may vary from actual items.
Availability is not guaranteed.
We reserve the right to limit quantities or discontinue products at any time.

4. PRICING & PAYMENT

All prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless stated otherwise.

We reserve the right to change pricing at any time.

Payment must be received before an order is confirmed.

We may cancel or refuse any order at our discretion.

5. BOARD GAME RENTAL MEMBERSHIPS

Dice Goblin offers recurring monthly board game rental memberships providing access to a library of 500+ board games, subject to availability.

5.1 Membership Plans

We currently offer:

$30 per month – 1 board game at a time
$60 per month – Up to 3 board games at a time
$75 per month – Up to 5 board games at a time

Members may not exceed their plan limit at any given time.

5.2 Recurring Billing

Memberships are billed monthly on a recurring basis from the signup date.

By purchasing a Membership, you authorise us to automatically charge your nominated payment method each month until cancelled.

Fees are non-refundable once charged.

5.3 Unlimited Swaps

Members may swap games unlimited times during an active membership period, provided they do not exceed their plan limit.

All rentals are subject to availability.

5.4 Member Responsibilities

Members agree to:

Handle games with reasonable care
Return all components
Avoid water, food, smoke, pet or excessive damage
Return games promptly upon cancellation

Normal wear and tear is expected.

Where games are returned with missing components or excessive damage, we may charge a reasonable replacement cost reflecting the retail value of the item or part.

5.5 Cancellation

Memberships may be cancelled at any time before the next billing date.

If cancelled:

No partial refunds are provided.
All rented games must be returned within 7 days.
Failure to return games may result in replacement charges.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate memberships for non-payment, failure to return games, or abusive behaviour.

6. SHIPPING & RISK

For online purchases, delivery timeframes are estimates only.

Risk of loss passes to you upon delivery.

We are not liable for courier delays outside our control.

7. CONSUMER GUARANTEES ACT 1993

Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, Fair Trading Act 1986, or other applicable New Zealand consumer laws where goods or services are supplied for personal, domestic or household use.

If you are acquiring goods or services for business purposes, you agree that the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 does not apply to the extent permitted by law.

8. FAIR TRADING ACT 1986

We will not engage in misleading or deceptive conduct. Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under the Fair Trading Act 1986.

9. RETURNS & REFUNDS

Returns are governed by our Refund Policy [Insert Link].

Where the Consumer Guarantees Act applies, you may be entitled to remedies including repair, replacement or refund where goods fail to meet statutory guarantees.

10. INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

All content on our website, including logos, branding, graphics and written material, is owned by Dice Goblin or its licensors.

You may not reproduce or use our intellectual property without prior written permission.

11. THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Our website is powered by Shopify.

While Shopify provides the ecommerce platform, all sales and transactions are between you and Dice Goblin.

We are not responsible for third-party services or external websites.

12. PRIVACY

We collect, use and store personal information in accordance with:

By using our Services, you consent to such collection and use.

13. LIMITATION OF LIABILITY

To the maximum extent permitted under New Zealand law, and subject to the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 and Fair Trading Act 1986:

Our liability for any claim relating to goods or services supplied shall be limited, at our option, to:

Repair of the goods
Replacement of the goods
Re-supply of the services
Refund of the amount paid

We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including loss of profits.

14. INDEMNITY

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Dice Goblin from any claims arising from:

Your breach of these Terms
Your misuse of our Services
Your negligent handling of rented games

15. TERMINATION

We may suspend or terminate access to our Services if you breach these Terms.

Obligations relating to payment, intellectual property and liability survive termination.

16. GOVERNING LAW

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand.

Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the New Zealand courts.

17. CHANGES TO TERMS

We may update these Terms at any time.

Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of updated Terms.
