Round and round and round. Gobgob is dizzy and delighted.Monsieur Carrousel is a co-op game for little ones from LOKI, designed by Sara Zarian. Work together to get all the kids onto the carousel before the rain comes. Roll the colour die, pop a wooden kid token onto a matching seat, then give the carousel a spin. Land in the sunshine and you add a ray of sun; land in the rain and a raindrop falls. Six seating discs let you make it easier or trickier as kids grow.Gobgob's favourite bit: Monsieur Carrousel points at a seat and you have to remember who is sitting there. Tiny memory test, huge cheers when you get it right.π₯ 1β6 players Β |Β β± 15 min Β |Β π Ages 4+π Dice Goblin Library game: borrow it at Dice Goblin.π₯ New to it? Watch how to play on YouTube

Gobgob just wanted the cheese. The cat had other ideas.Viva Topo! is a family board game by Manfred Ludwig, and a Kinderspiel des Jahres (Children's Game of the Year) winner. Race your mice around the track towards the cheese, where the further a mouse goes, the bigger the prize. But a hungry cat is prowling right behind, and any mouse it catches is out of the game. Do you duck in early for a small bite, or keep running for the big wheel of cheese?Gobgob's favourite bit: The special die. It rolls 1, 1, 2, 3, 4 or 5, and every 1 also moves the cat. Once the cat has gone around the track it speeds up, and that's when the squeaking starts.π₯ 2β4 players Β |Β β± 20β30 min Β |Β π Ages 4+π Dice Goblin Library game: borrow it at Dice Goblin.π₯ New to it? You work at the VivaJava Coffee Co., hunting the globe for the best beans. Each round you use the dice in your pool to either blend beans into a best-selling coffee for quick points, or put them into research for new dice tricks and new ways to score. Blends lose their shine over time, so it's a press-your-luck race to cash in at just the right moment.Gobgob's favourite bit: Rolling together. You can team up with other players to roll and blend, which can shoot you up the scoreboard, but whoever you help might ride your coattails all the way to the top. First published by Take On You and later by Fantasy Flight Games, it pits the commandos of the Union against the Reich's occult division in tense battles through crypts and fortresses. Build your team from heroes and troopers, kit them out with weapon, equipment and power tokens, then move, shoot and brawl your way to the objectives.Gobgob's favourite bit: The pathfinding system. Every space on the board is marked with coloured circles, and if two figures share a colour, they can see and shoot each other. No tape measures, no arguments.
