Gobgob's games are well loved, so some might be missing a piece or two. Spot something missing? Tell us straight away at the counter or by message, so we can try to replace it.

Gobgob's to-play list just got a lot longer.

The Board Game Book: Volume 1 is a full-colour guide to the best new tabletop games of 2018, from UK publisher Clyde & Cart Press, written by games journalists Owen Duffy, Matt Thrower, Teri Litorco and Richard Jansen-Parkes. It covers everything from quick family games to strategy, role-playing and miniatures games, and most get a double-page spread with photos and game specs. Ian Livingstone, co-founder of Games Workshop, wrote the foreword, and it's a treat for anyone hunting for their next favourite game.

Gobgob's favourite bit: The interviews. After a game's spread comes a chat with its designer or someone else behind it, so you find out why it plays the way it does.

Borrowing by post

Members anywhere in New Zealand can borrow by post. Postal swaps go out every Thursday. The cutoff is Wednesday 10pm for Thursday delivery.

Postage out is charged at our normal website shipping rates, and you pay to post games back to us.

Missing pieces and damage

Check the box when you borrow it. If a piece is missing, tell us at the counter so it isn't charged to you.

Pieces that go missing or get damaged while a game is with you can be charged up to the game's RRP, unless our staff waive it. Normal wear and tear is fine. The full details are in the library terms.
