Glass Chess Set
Glass Chess Set is chess, the classic two-player strategy game, in a set made of glass. Each player commands 16 pieces, from eight pawns up to the king and queen, and every type of piece moves in its own way. Checkmate the other player's king to win, and please handle the glass gently so the next friend can play too.

About the game
Gobgob can see straight through your strategy. It's glass.
Gobgob's favourite bit: Pawn promotion. Get a humble pawn all the way to the far side of the board and it can become a queen. Gobgob loves a glow-up.

Borrowing by post
Members anywhere in New Zealand can borrow by post. Postal swaps go out every Thursday. The cutoff is Wednesday 10pm for Thursday delivery.
Postage out is charged at our normal website shipping rates, and you pay to post games back to us.
Missing pieces and damage
Check the box when you borrow it. If a piece is missing, tell us at the counter so it isn't charged to you.
Pieces that go missing or get damaged while a game is with you can be charged up to the game's RRP, unless our staff waive it. Normal wear and tear is fine. The full details are in the library terms.
