Gobgob counted the monsters. Gobgob ran out of fingers.
D&D – Mordenkainen Presents: Monsters of the Multiverse is a D&D 5e sourcebook from Wizards of the Coast (2022). It collects and updates the monsters from Volo's Guide to Monsters and Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes, plus playable races from earlier 5e books. That's over 250 monsters and over 30 races in one place. Dungeon Masters get a huge bestiary for any campaign, and players get a big menu of character options.
Gobgob's favourite bit: Goblins made the list of playable races, with Fury of the Small for walloping bigger foes and Nimble Escape for ducking out of trouble. Gobgob feels very seen.
