Cranium

Cranium is a party game for teams, created by Whit Alexander and Richard Tait and billed as the game for your whole brain. Each turn your team takes on a card from one of four decks: Creative Cat (draw it or sculpt it in clay), Data Head (trivia), Word Worm (unscramble, spell and define) and Star Performer (act it out, whistle a tune or do an impression). It borrows bits of charades, Pictionary and trivia games and squeezes them into one board game.

Gobgob's games are well loved, so some might be missing a piece or two. Spot something missing? Tell us straight away at the counter or by message, so we can try to replace it.

About the game

Gobgob sculpted a giraffe out of clay. Their team guessed 'lamp'.

Gobgob's favourite bit: The Creative Cat cards that make you draw with your eyes closed. The masterpieces that come out of those belong in a gallery. Possibly a very strange one.

Borrowing by post

Members anywhere in New Zealand can borrow by post. Postal swaps go out every Thursday. The cutoff is Wednesday 10pm for Thursday delivery.

Postage out is charged at our normal website shipping rates, and you pay to post games back to us.

Missing pieces and damage

Check the box when you borrow it. If a piece is missing, tell us at the counter so it isn't charged to you.

Pieces that go missing or get damaged while a game is with you can be charged up to the game's RRP, unless our staff waive it. Normal wear and tear is fine. The full details are in the library terms.
