Gobgob opened the box and found a whole Bronze Age inside. Also dice.
RuneQuest Starter Set is a full-colour boxed set with everything you need to start playing RuneQuest, Chaosium's fantasy roleplaying game of gods, cults, magic and family in the world of Glorantha (2021). Four softcover books cover the rules, the setting, a solo adventure and three group adventures for up to five players, and the box adds 12 ready-made characters, maps of Jonstown, handouts and the dice. It's made for newcomers, and the solo adventure teaches you the rules as you go.
Gobgob's favourite bit: In A Fire in the Darkness, a string of fires in Jonstown leads the adventurers into the tunnels under the city, where the prime suspects may not be what they seem. Gobgob brought a torch, which in hindsight was the wrong call.
📖 Boxed set: 4 softcover books, 12 pregenerated character folios, maps of Jonstown, a Strike Rank Tracker, handouts and dice

Borrowing by post
Members anywhere in New Zealand can borrow by post. Postal swaps go out every Thursday. The cutoff is Wednesday 10pm for Thursday delivery.
Postage out is charged at our normal website shipping rates, and you pay to post games back to us.
Missing pieces and damage
Check the box when you borrow it. If a piece is missing, tell us at the counter so it isn't charged to you.
Pieces that go missing or get damaged while a game is with you can be charged up to the game's RRP, unless our staff waive it. Normal wear and tear is fine. The full details are in the library terms.
