Gobgob's games are well loved, so some might be missing a piece or two. Spot something missing? Tell us straight away at the counter or by message, so we can try to replace it.

Learn the rules over lunch. Lose your nerve by dinner.

Call of Cthulhu 7th Edition Quick-Start Rules is Chaosium's introduction to Call of Cthulhu, the classic horror tabletop RPG. It boils the 7th Edition rules down to the essentials and includes The Haunting, the scenario Keepers have used to welcome new players for years. It's the easiest way to try Call of Cthulhu before moving on to the full rulebook.

Gobgob's favourite bit: The Haunting itself. A landlord wants someone to find out why nobody will stay in the house. Easy money, Gobgob said at the time.

Borrowing by post

Members anywhere in New Zealand can borrow by post. Postal swaps go out every Thursday. The cutoff is Wednesday 10pm for Thursday delivery.

Postage out is charged at our normal website shipping rates, and you pay to post games back to us.

Missing pieces and damage

Check the box when you borrow it. If a piece is missing, tell us at the counter so it isn't charged to you.

Pieces that go missing or get damaged while a game is with you can be charged up to the game's RRP, unless our staff waive it. Normal wear and tear is fine. The full details are in the library terms.
