Architects of the West Kingdom
Architects of the West Kingdom is a worker placement board game from Renegade Game Studios, designed by Shem Phillips and S J Macdonald. Around 850 AD, you're a royal architect collecting raw materials and hiring apprentices to build landmarks for the king and push on with the Archbishop's cathedral, while rival architects do their best to slow you down. The most points after a set number of buildings wins, and there's a solo mode against a bot too.

About the game
The king wants a cathedral. Gobgob owns one hammer and a lot of confidence.
Gobgob's favourite bit: Virtue. A little black-market dealing looks harmless at the time, but the game is keeping score, and anyone who goes too far gets punished at the end.

Borrowing by post
Members anywhere in New Zealand can borrow by post. Postal swaps go out every Thursday. The cutoff is Wednesday 10pm for Thursday delivery.
Postage out is charged at our normal website shipping rates, and you pay to post games back to us.
Missing pieces and damage
Check the box when you borrow it. If a piece is missing, tell us at the counter so it isn't charged to you.
Pieces that go missing or get damaged while a game is with you can be charged up to the game's RRP, unless our staff waive it. Normal wear and tear is fine. The full details are in the library terms.
