The Terrifying Girl Disorder (Library)
$0.00
The Terrifying Girl Disorder is a quirky and brain-burning set-collecting card game. The deck consists of seven different types of cards, with each type represented by a girl with numbers 1–7 and a special power. Players start with a hand of cards, and each round play any number of identical cards from hand, activate that girl's special power, then collect new cards, using a weird drafting mechanism.
Each player can play a certain numbered set only once per game. When the game ends, the player who has played the most cards of a certain girl "becomes" that girl. Each different girl has a completely different way of scoring, so you need to adapt to the other player's play rapidly.
(The title is an allusion to a novel set in a distant future in which girls around the world start manifesting supernatural powers, and they are more or less treated as threats to humanity.)
Through the Ages: A New...
$0.00
Through the Ages: A New Story of Civilization is the new edition of Through the Ages: A Story of Civilization, with many changes small and large to the game's cards over its three ages and extensive changes to how military works.
Through the Ages (TTA) is a civilization building game. Each player attempts to build the best civilization through careful resource management, and by: discovering new technologies, electing competent leaders, building wonders and maintaining a strong military. Weakness in any area can be exploited by your opponents. The game takes place throughout the ages, beginning in the age of antiquity and ending in the modern age.
One of the primary mechanisms in TTA is card drafting. Technologies, wonders, and leaders come into play and become easier to draft the longer they are in play. In order to use a technology you will need enough science to discover it, enough food to create a population to man it and enough resources (ore) to build the building to use it. While balancing the resources needed to advance your technology you also need to build a military. Military is 'built' in the same manner as civilian buildings. Players that have a weak military will be preyed upon by other players. There is no map in the game so you cannot lose territory, but players with a stronger military will steal resources, science, kill leaders, take population or culture. It is very difficult to win with a strong military, but it is very easy to lose because of a weak one.
Victory is achieved by the player whose nation has the most culture at the end of the modern age.

Viscounts of the West Kingdom...
$0.00
Viscounts of the West Kingdom is set at a time when the King’s reign began to decline, circa 980 AD. Choosing peace over prosperity, our once strong King began offering our enemies gold and land to lay down their axes. But peace is a tenuous affair. As poverty spread, many people lost faith in his ability to lead and sought independence from the crown. Since finding favour in his courts, our future has also become uncertain. As viscounts, we must be wise and decisive. Loyalty is to be upheld, but gaining favour among the people must be our priority, should there be a sudden shift in power.
The aim of Viscounts of the West Kingdom is to be the player with the most victory points (VP) at game's end. Points are gained by constructing buildings, writing manuscripts, working in the castle and acquiring deeds for new land. Players begin with a handful of townsfolk, but should quickly seek out more suitable talents to advance their endeavours. Each turn they will be travelling around the kingdom, looking to increase their influence among the various areas of society. The game ends once the Kingdom reaches poverty or prosperity - or potentially both!

스플렌더: Pokémon (Splendor: Pokémon) (Library)
$0.00
스플렌더: Pokémon plays much like the original Splendor game, but with special rules based on Pokémon.
On your turn, you may (1) collect Pokéballs (which come in five colors), or (2) catch a Pokémon, or (3) reserve a Pokémon. If you collect Pokéballs, you take either three different colors of Pokéballs or two Pokéballs of the same color (as long as four are available). If you catch a Pokémon, you pay its cost in Pokéballs, then add it to your playing area. If you reserve a Pokémon — in order to make sure you get it, or, why not, your opponents don't get it — you place it in front of you face down for later catching; this costs you a round, but you also get a Master Ball which you can later use as a Pokéball of any color. Each Pokémon you have caught gives you a permanent Pokéball that you can use toward catching all future Pokémon, meaning as you catch more Pokémon, it becomes easier to catch the ones that are more expensive and worth more points.Differences from the original Splendor include:
At the end of your turn, you can evolve one of the Pokémon in your collection if the next level of that Pokémon is in the display and you have the required Pokéballs. More points for you, and another card in your Pokédex... There are two new decks of cards: Rare Pokémon and Legendary Pokémon. Only one of each is on display at a time, and they each provide 2 permanent Pokéballs instead of 1 when caught. Legendary Pokémon are worth more points than Rare Pokémon but require you to use a Master Ball in order to catch them.
When a player has 18 or more points in their collection, you complete the final round, then whoever has the most points wins.
World Changers (Library)
$0.00
Who would you take to another planet if Earth were no longer inhabitable? What if you could pick people from long bygone eras?
Turns out that you are the captain of an interstellar spaceship, and you need to assemble your crew to live on a new planet. You can recruit them from historical persons throughout the whole of human history, but each person has their own peculiarities. Can you make the best team to let humanity thrive once more?
In World Changers, players draft cards from a common display with each card having an unique effect and a Legacy value. On their turn, players can either "invite" or "pass", with invite adding a card to the player's display, that is, a member of that player's team. Each card's effect is triggered either when the card is taken or when certain conditions are met. When no cards are left to invite or when each player passes in succession, the game ends and the player with the highest total Legacy of their members wins.
The game includes a booklet full of art and stories of the 32 historical persons featured in the game!
XCOM: The Board Game (Library)
$0.00
You are humanity's last hope.
In XCOM: The Board Game, you and up to three friends assume the roles of the leaders of the elite, international organization known as XCOM. It is your job to defend humanity, quell the rising panic, and turn back the alien invasion.
Where the world's militaries have failed to stand against the alien invaders, you must succeed. To do so, you must make strategic use of the resources available to you. You must launch Interceptors to shoot down alien UFOs, assign soldiers to key missions, research alien technology, and use that technology to defend your base — all while trying to keep the world from collapsing just long enough that you can coordinate one final mission to repel the invaders for good.
One of the more notable aspects of XCOM: The Board Game is the way that it incorporates a free and innovative digital app into the core of its gameplay. This digital companion will be available both as a downloadable app and as an online tool.
The app's primary function is to coordinate the escalating alien invasion, randomly selecting from one of five different invasion plans. Each invasion plan represents a general outline that the alien commanders will use to coordinate the arrival of new UFOs, plan strikes against your base, and respond to your successes or failures as it seeks to conquer Earth. The app manages all of these tasks and heightens the game's tension as it forces you to respond in real-time. Then, after you move quickly to coordinate your response, you engage the enemy in the untimed resolution phase and feed the results to the app. Based upon these results, the app launches the invasion's next strikes.
Additionally, the app teaches you the rules, controls the information that your satellites provide you, and tracks the progress of your resistance efforts, even as it allows you to enjoy the game at any of three levels of difficulty: Easy, Normal, or Hard.
The use of this app does more than simply streamline your play experience and track your turns in real-time; it also permits a uniquely dynamic turn structure. While the variety of game phases remains the same from round to round, the order in which you and your friends must play through them may change, as may the number of a given phase. As a result, while you'll want to know where UFOs appear before you deploy your Interceptors, the alien invaders may be able to disrupt your satellite intel and force you to deploy your Interceptors on patrol with limited or no knowledge of the UFOs current whereabouts. Similarly, you may be forced to think about the costs of resolving the world’s crises before you know how many troops you’ll need to commit to your base defense.
The effect of the app is to immerse you deep into the dramatic tension at the core of XCOM: The Board Game, and it ensures that the game presents a challenging and cooperative (or solo) experience like no other. Just like the XCOM department heads that you represent, you'll need to keep cool heads in order to prevail.
Popcorn (Library)
$0.00
In Popcorn, each player manages their own movie theater and tries to show the best combination of movies in order to attract guests to their seats.
The game plays out over nine rounds, and in each round you may acquire a new movie, build or upgrade your theater, and use advertising to attract new guests — then it's showtime, with you drawing guests at random from your bag to see who has shown up. Place guests in the right seats to activate special powers; match them with the right movies, and you get a movie bonus as well, thanks to their enthusiasm for your good taste.
After watching films in your theater, guests might be spirited away to other theaters thanks to ads presented by those theater owners - but you'll probably do the same to them, too.
The bonuses from a movie get worse the longer it runs, so be sure to bring in fresh films to keep guests on the edge of your seats. After all, happy guests can help your theater win awards in town; more importantly, they can keep the "popcorn" piling up in your coffers, and whichever theater owner fills their popcorn box the best wins.
